Welcome to Elizabeth's Country Garden
Elizabeth's Country Garden, owned and operated by Elizabeth and Todd Harter, is a seasonal greenhouse business offering a variety of plant material useful to the home gardener.
In the spring we offer an assortment of annual flowers, herbs, and vegetables in packs, pots and baskets of various sizes as well as perennials.
With the arrival of autumn the temperatures drop and the leaves color up splendidly... And speaking of color, we have a lot of beautiful hardy garden mums as well as pumpkins, corn stalks, straw bales, gourds and Indian corn...
Finally, when winter sets in Elizabeth's Country Garden kicks off the holiday season with fragrant Christmas trees, hand-crafted fresh wreaths, poinsettias, and holiday decorations - sporting cheerful red ribbons!
Elizabeth's Country Garden first opened its doors in 1996 in Paines Hollow. The following year we were invited by Phil Dahlia to operate a second retail site adjacent to his service station in Dolgeville. Finally, in 1999 we established our business at its current location on West Main Street in Little Falls.
Elizabeth is a 2005 graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with a bachelor's degree in horticulture/floriculture. Todd retired from NYS Dept. of Transportation as a civil engineer. He spent several years volunteering his services at Traudt Greenhouses in Canajoharie.
